The Joy of Your Love in My Life
I choose joy. My soul is singing with happiness. I am completely content with my life. My spirit is full of Your love. Nothing has happened, my world is the same as it was yesterday, but today I am full of Your Spirit that is fulling me with such amazing hope and joy. My heart sings of how You are my Shepherd and I know that You are with me. Thank You LORD for this day.
Did I wake up this morning and find that I am skinny? Nope, still am fat but that is okay, I am who I am, a beautiful child of GOD. I know He loves me and looks at me with love. Am I still depressed? Yes, but I am choosing to be in God’s joy. Have all my bills gone away? Is my motorhome still in need of fixing a front end problem and getting a new tire? Yup! What happened to me this morning when I woke up and started talking with God? It was the same as it was yesterday in my life, but today His joy is front and center. I pray LORD that every day I will wake up and just revel in Your joy and not worry about what may or may not happen. I awoke in YOUR joy and it fills me. I had another weekly way for this week about the sad and hateful state of society, but God does not want me to talk about that. In Nehemiah 8:9 -10 he says, “This day is holy to the LORD your GOD. Do not mourn or weep. For all the people had been weeping as they listened to the Words of the Law. Nehemiah said, ‘Go and enjoy choice food and sweet drinks, and send some to those who have nothing prepared. This day is holy to our LORD. Do not grieve, for the joy of the LORD is your strength.’ ” God is calling out to each one of us in our sin. He is holding out His hands and asking each and every one of us to take hold of His hands and let Him fill you with His joy. We have to choose joy; we have to choose God; we have to choose to confess our sins and receive His forgiveness and walk with Him. We have to learn to walk in His love and be His love.
I choose this day to live in His joy.

A simple praise to our LORD. How great thou art. I just need to look at the world with His eyes and see the beauty God created. The sun is shining and there is a slight breeze moving the leaves on the tree out my window. I have my coffee and I am blessed. Blessed by God in His amazing love. Blessed by God by His cross of victory. Blessed by God to have His joy. Nothing is going to change this joy; there is nothing that can take away this joy. I can do all things through Jesus because He fills me with His joy and that is my strength.
Look around you this day in the joy of the LORD. For a moment place yourself in God’s joy. Let His love cover you. Feel it. Accept it. Allow your heart and soul to be filled. Choose to not worry and choose to let go of the anxiety of life. Breathe in. Breathe out. Breathe in once again. Let your soul wander in God’s joy. Desire it. Hold it in and let it wash you. Smile. Let God pick you up and hold you. Feel His arms around you this very moment. Close your eyes and just be, be completely with God. Close your eyes and just know, know God and His amazing love. Sit quietly for a while and in His Presence. Be completely present with the LORD. Think about Him. Thank Him. Thank Him for this day. Thank Him for all your troubles and thank Him that He fills up with His joy, which is your strength. Choose this day God and choose to live in His complete joy. If you start to feel that joy begin to fade, just stop again and close your eyes and seek His face.
We need God; we cannot do anything without Him. We have to choose to walk in joy. If you have to tell yourself every minute of your life, that God loves you, do so. Keep on telling yourself that God loves you. Keep on telling yourself that the battle is His and that you are choosing to stand in His perfect joy, His perfect peace. Seek the LORD with all that you are, place Him first in every area of your life. Choose His joy in the midst of the pain. Choose His love and walk in it.
Oh Father God, how great thou art! My soul glorifies You. I choose right here and now to walk in Your joy which is my strength. I ask You Father to help me to increase my faith and to open myself to You. I am not looking behind to what has been, but I am thanking You for what is. You got this God. My whole life. And I trust that You will bring all things into Your perfect will and will be my whole life. Thank You God for Your joy. I am breathing it in. I am breathing it in. I am choosing this day to walk in victory of the amazing love You gave to me through Your cross. My soul is singing LORD, How great thou art!
